Owner and CEO
Originally hailing from Scotland and growing up in the United Kingdom, Andrew has successfully managed and operated one of the largest classic car restoration businesses in Dallas for over 9 years. No stranger to the Defender – he has owned and enjoyed these vehicles since a young age. Moving onto Defenders was a logical and, more importantly, a personal decision to return to his roots.
“Building custom Land Rovers has always been a passion of mine and now I get the opportunity to be a part of one of the greatest marques in history. “

Martijn van der Plaat
Injected with a healthy interest in cars from a very young age, it was an easy decision for Martijn to join Andrew at Xerbera. The chance to be part of a team that builds unique – tangible – products was a welcome change from all the years spent in the intangible wilderness of the IT consultancy world.
Having come across Defenders (and their Series ancestors) operating comfortably in all kinds of environments all across the globe, it is a privilege to continue the legacy of such an iconic vehicle in North America.

Paint and Body
No team is complete without a true artist and perfectionist. Gus has been preparing and painting show quality cars in Dallas for over 20 years.
Highly experienced in both fiberglass and metal bodies, Gus is responsible for ensuring the paint and finish on the Land Rovers we build is everything you expect and could hope for.
Jorge and Terry
Between Jorge and Terry, our lead mechanics, we have over 60 years of automotive experience. Jorge spent his life in Costa Rica working and restoring old Land Rover Series vehicles and Defenders, whilst Terry spent it here in Texas performing high end car restorations. Terry was also the warranty manager in the past for a premier Engine manufacturing company. He estimated that he has assembled over 2000 engines during his entire career.
