Vehicle Specifications

This interesting Defender 130 was brought to us for some extensive modifications. Although it uses a 130 frame, it has a custom bed, and does not have the regular 130 rear cab portion nor a 130’s roof. Changes requested were for a new powerplant and transmission, conversion to LHD, and an air suspension system. Along with that a new custom leather interior and A/C were also on the list. As a result this 130 is now powered by a 6.2L LS3 through a 6L80E automatic transmission, riding on 18″ Kahn 1983 wheels and an Airbag Man suspension kit. Due to the significant jump in horsepower, stopping power is provided through Wilwood brakes enhanced by a hydroboost system. The interior was upgraded with Sport front seats and a Puma 60/40 bench covered in black leather with white stitching, and a Puma dash to house the aftermarket A/C system. The bed received a custom wood deck, and lighting was converted to LEDs, with the body receiving a fresh coat of Fuji White paint. A few blue accents were added to escape from a full monochrome appearance; and perhaps show allegiance to a certain institution of higher learning.
