A lot of money invested in restoration of this truck, please read bellow description! No expense was spared restoring this Landy!

A body-off restoration is about as far as customization can be taken. It is taking an older and much loved donor vehicle and checking, restoring and replacing each and every component that can wear and fade over time. Staying true to the original design, yet with a touch of modern upgrades, we simply allow the reborn Defender to show off more of its potential and attitude. Xerbera Automotive takes pride and responsibility in building people’s dream cars, and this 90 is a perfect example of that. This beauty is ready for some epic adventures and arriving just in time for the summer!

Full body-off-frame restoration work performed as follows:

Original factory chassis was sand blasted, acid dipped and galvanized, no welding or patching work done to the original frame – none was required as original chassis was immaculate and rust free! The original factory VIN stamp is clear and readable (see picture in gallery).

Original factory 2.5 Turbo Diesel engine fully rebuilt, rebuilt turbo, new fuel pump and fuel injectors, new fuel lines, new fuel tank, new clutch kit, full steering system rebuilt, full drivetrain rebuilt, axles are fully rebuilt using Ashcroft inners, full gearbox and transfer case rebuilt.

Sand blasted, primed and painted all drivetrain components and underbody with anti corrosion black paint. New exhaust system, new brake system and disk brakes all around (calipers, rotors, pads and brake lines), new gaskets, seals and bearings all around, new polyurethane bushings, new filters, oils and liquids. Refurbished electrical system, new doors and tailgate with locks and galvanized handles, new front side wings, new windscreen, windows and seals.

New grill, bumper, mirrors and lights, restored and reupholstered front seats, new rear seat benches, new cubby box, new door cards and carpet. New Safety Devices internal and external NAS style roll cage with black canvas soft top with an awesome fit using belt rail system. New spare wheel swing away carrier, chequer plates, side steps, 2″ lift kit, new Terrafirma medium load coil springs and shock absorbers, new wheel arches, wearing black powder coated 16″ Boost alloy wheels with Comfoster 285/75 M/T tires. Freshly painted in stunning BMW M-series “Imola Red II” color.

The donor vehicle was a 90 with very solid bones and no rust that spent its life in dry climate of Southern Italy, and it finally received much needed TLC. This Landy now looks, feels and drives better than when it left the factory in 1988. You are literally getting a brand new vehicle here!
