With a nod to the Heritage Editions, this new Glencoe model (number GC-002) is painted in Grasmere Green and has a few other distinguishing features when compared to our Glencoe prototype. Just like the prototype, this Glencoe starts off with a new galvanized chassis, a fully rebuilt and upgraded transfer case. It has upgraded front and rear factory axles, CV joints and new swivel balls, a custom exhaust system, and custom painted steel wheels with BF Goodrich K02 tires. Appearance highlights include a full LED lights package, Optimill door and bonnet hinges and mirror arms, Optimill wing top air vents, a new Puma bonnet, Optimill billet aluminum license plate light with built-in backup camera, and Fire & Ice side steps. It has Land Rover disk brakes, a steering skid plate, as well as the characteristic Heritage grille and wide wheel arches. Sound is provided by the double din Alpine audio system with Apple Car play, with Focal speakers and a Kenwood subwoofer. The interior also has an Evander Wood Rim 15″ steering wheel sitting prominently in front of a new Puma dash. But that is where the similarities end, as GC-002 is powered by a Cummins R2.8 Turbodiesel with a Tremec 5-Speed manual transmission, has Speedhut gauges, and features a full soft top covering rear seating. And with an eye towards more off-roading, this version skips the full carpeting and wooden floor, and runs on Old Man Emu off-road suspension with a rear locker.
